Providing a Foundation for Personal Growth
Our team has over 30 years combined experience in providing quality holidays and 'Short Breaks' as respite for carers.
Over the years we have offered all types of holidays, from camping to hotels, and international travel. With our knowledge, experience and fleet of vehicles we can help with logistical support for most ventures.
We have provided holidays for Day Centres, Residential Homes, Gateway Clubs and Gateway Award groups.
This year we are planning a trip to Bydgoszcz, in Poland. This is the home town of Tomek, one of our volunteers. He would like us to his town for a holiday, before he leaves us and returns to Poland.
We will go for one week, and we have some activities planned for the week.
These include:
Visit to Biskupin, an iron age settlement, dating back to the 7th Century BC.
A visit to the town of Torun, a historic town on the banks of the Vistula river and home of Copernicus.
A chance to visit day centre, to shop in the town centre and to generally explore Bydgoscz.
More details to follow. To register your interest, please email info@suttonsupport.org or contact Millie for an informal chat.
We have been coming to Fishguard for about 5 years now. Firstly, as the New Horizons main summer holiday.
We use the Abergwaun Gateway Club for our accommodaion, this is 'self catering'; but there are many pubs and cafes willing to provide evening meals and breakfasts.
There are a number of activities to do and see while staying in Fishguard, our favourties are; Oakwood, Clerkenhill Adventure Farm and Saint David's Catherdral.
We now go to Fishguard at Easter, August Bank Holiday (Carnival!), first weekend in December and New Year's Eve.
The New Horizons / Burton-upon-Trent Gateway summer holiday has now moved to Bournemouth. We stay at the Bournemouth Sands Hotel in West Cliff, which is very close to the town centre and beaches.
This is more of a 'beach' holiday, although day trips to Monkey World and The Royal Marine Museum are popular.
